"My wife brought by grandfathers 1936 Philco radio to the store to see if it could be refinished as it was stored in a storage unit that flooded and the wood veneer started peeling in addition to the varnish fading and peeling. To be honest it was rough and I thought it wasn't savable for any reasonable amount of money. Tad was a little taken back by the condition and was concerned that he may not be able to bring it back (likely to his standards). We spoke for a while and we came to agreement that I didn't expect it to be show room condition, that it was a family heirloom and to take his best shot. He had to strip it, patch in veneer, replace wood at the base, glue the peeling veneer down, fill, sand and stain. Tad said it would take about three weeks. He was done ahead of schedule. Tad was super excited when he called my wife to let her know it was ready. It turned out great, far exceeding my expectations to bring back to life this old gem. I'll try to post some pics of before and after. Don't let the rustic decor fool you. This a great small business who pride themselves on being fair, honesty and great customer service. We now plan on bringing in an antique chair where an arm had cracked and became loose to be repaired."

"I have been coming to this antique store for years. This place is awesome. It is an antique furniture store that specializes in finding treasures, and if needed, fixing them up. The furniture is beautifully restored and as often as possible all the original hardware and glass is used. The owner is really friendly and does all the work himself. He has good, competitive prices and is often willing to make a deal. I have bought several pieces from him over the years, but mostly spend my time "window" shopping in his lovely store. My family has also had items refinished and they always turn out better than expected."
